Representatives from various Councils and NYLT Leadership Academy staff will share their insights with participants at the NYLT Leadership Symposium, and we encourage you to bring your Council’s materials and information to contribute to the conference.
The program promises to be dynamic and engaging, featuring interactive sessions on a broad range of topics including promotions, program features, food, gamesmanship, financial management, staff development, sustaining enrollment, camperships, and campfires.
Additionally, we will host several sessions focused on the unique challenges you may face in your Council, along with sessions designed specifically for Council startups. In summary, this conference will cover everything you need to know about launching or enhancing your Council’s NYLT program.
Our Symposium staff brings a wealth of experience from across the nation. You will spend countless hours alongside fellow Scouts and Scouters who are dedicated to helping you execute the best training course your Council has ever offered, and we are committed to making this a valuable experience for you.

Registration provides comprehensive access to all symposium sessions as well as food and accommodations for the entire weekend.

Registration provides access exclusively for Saturday and includes participation in the NYLT Course Director's Conference segment of the symposium.
Final Notes
- If your Council has not recently conducted a NYLT course, the NYLT Course Director’s Conference portion of the NYLT Leadership Symposium would be a great start to prepare for the future.
- You may wish to bring your Council’s promotional flyers, videos, staff development guides and other materials to display or share. Please bring it electronically to share.
- This Symposium is open to anyone interested in National Youth Leadership Training and is not restricted to just those presently conducting their Council’s NYLT course.
- We welcome NYLT Scouts and Scouters from all councils nationwide.
- Every year that you go, you come back with new ideas and procedures to implement at your home course which you may not have thought of.
- The ability to meet Staff Members, Course Directors, Scoutmasters, Youth leaders and more from all over the country to share ideas, gain new perspectives, and to have a lot of fun!
